Universal Pokemon Randomizer ZX

Universal Pokemon Randomizer ZX is an open source software that allows you to create your own Pokémon game with all the features and modifications you want. To do so, all you need is the ROM of another Pokémon game (for any Nintendo console) to use as the base, which you can then modify however you want.

An easy-to-use program

The process of creating a customized version of Pokémon is very simple. First, load the ROM by clicking on the button in the upper right corner of the interface. When loading the ROM, the program itself will tell you whether it's an official version, or if, on the contrary, it has been previously modified, which may result in errors or unexpected behavior. Once the ROM is loaded, you can start creating the Pokémon game of your dreams. You'll find an overwhelming number of options at your disposal.

Customize the game to your liking

The most obvious change that Universal Pokemon Randomizer ZX allows you to make is choosing the three starter Pokémon. You'll also be able to change where wild Pokémon appear, as well as the evolution type and initial attributes of each one. Everything you can change is organized into eight different categories: Pokémon Traits, Starter Pokémon, Moves and Attacks, Enemy Pokémon, Wild Pokémon, Items, Tutors, and Miscellaneous Tweaks. In total, you'll be able to make more than 100 changes and adjustments to customize your gaming experience.

Create and share the best version of Pokémon

Once you've finished creating your own version of the game, all you have to do is save the changes and enjoy what you've created. Before doing so, however, you should also give it a good name. After all, you never know if your version of the game might become a real hit within the community. Of course, to play your ROM, you'll need the appropriate emulator, or, failing that, you can put the ROM directly into the console you want to play on.
